Brian Steever is a Kansas City jazz drummer who has made an impact on the scene in the relatively short time that he's been living there.  Catch him in action at Jardine's with Mark Lowery's experimental "...With Drums" group or at various other venues in the area with the likes of Hermon Mehari and Zach Beeson in their collective "Tri-dimensional."  The fun is too much for one state, though.  Last summer Tri-Dimensional set out on tour that included the Sioux Falls Jazz and Blues Fest in South Dakota.  Watch out America!

Brian Steever is also studying extensively with Bobby Watson and Brandon Draper at UMKC.  He was named a National Finalist in the 2008 Grammy Jazz Band.  Brian has also studied under the likes of Vanguard Jazz Orchestra drummer John Riley, Arts and Crafts Quartet legend Matt Wilson, New York saxophonist Dave Pietro, drummer Tommy Crane, and bassist Curtis Lundy.  Steever has played professionally in Missouri since high school, starting out in his hometown of Jefferson City.  He is now majoring in Jazz Performance at the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance.
